Contest Introduction and Concepts

For those of us nearing 80 years of age, this is a lonely period in our lives. Husbands, children, grandchildren and friends are largely gone – one way or another. I am holding this contest to make a world wide social statement that can ofer hope to millions of other people to own real estate in the United States of America. A successful Contest will enable me to settle my affairs during my lifetime and give me considerable peace of mind. I will also be able to make some sizable charitable contributions, which will give me pleasure and pride.
For some years I have been concerned about the dual role (and in my opinion, conflictful) of the Real Estate Agents in representing both buyer and seller. While we all know Real Estate Agents who are fine people, it has been of concern to me that a homeowner could entrust, perhaps their major asset (their home), to the ability and integrity of an agent who might be an inexperienced stranger.
For years Country Inn Magazine has advertised the Talent Contest although they catered to the Bed and Breakfast properties.
When I saw a gentleman on an afternoon TV talk show who sold the Rules and Regulations to the Talent Contest, I bought them and I was delighted. An alternative – another option. The gentleman was impressive. He claimed he had received full price for a Bed and Breakfast. In my opinion, this means that he was paid for his real estate, his business operation and his inventory. If so, this is a remarkable feat. Lenders will only loan on the real estate. Therefore Bed and Breakfast owners many times have to give away, free of charge, to the purchasers these items to “make the deal”.
Lawyer’s fees alone, I decided would cost me more than the $750.00 that I paid for the Rules and Regulations to the Talent Contest.
Since then, I have expanded the size of this Talent Contest to five (5) Real Estate properties. Additionally, I “pitched in” (as a surprise) three (3) pieces of valuable diamond jewelry. A 9+ CT. emerald cut diamond ring, as a gift to the prize winner of the (L) Potomac River Land sub contest if the maximum numbers are reached in that particular sub-contest. The same conditions exist for the diamond bracelet for the winner of (OP) Oxon Park and diamond and emerald tennis necklace for the winner of the (HS) Hot Springs House.
Dcpages.com designed the contest process using the Internet as a reference tool, data processing for record keeping and graduate students for reading the essays with no names, except contest letters and initial(s).
